African Union Commission (AUC) and Africa Economic Zones Organization (AEZO) is holding the African SEZs
Annual Meeting 2025, a premier gathering point, where stakeholders converge each year to exchange ideas, foster
collaboration, and drive forward the development of Special Economic Zones across the continent.
Taking place on November 26th – 28th 2025 in Luanda, Angola, under the theme: “African SEZs: Catalyzing
Sustainable Industrial Investment and Global Value Chains Integration”.
The event will be hosted by the Luanda-Bengo SEZ (ZEE) in collaboration with the Government of the Republic
of Angola, in the presence of ministerial personalities, Senior representatives of the African SEZs community, big
players from the private sector, and international institutions supporting the development of African SEZs.

Africa Economic Zones Organization (AEZO) and the African Union Commission (AUC) – Department of Economic Development, Trade, Tourism, Industry and Minerals – are joining efforts to organize the African Special Economic Zones Annual Meeting 2024 scheduled to take place from 27th to 29th November 2024 at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) in Nairobi, Kenya, under the theme:
“Building Resilient, Inclusive & Sustainable Economies: The Role of African SEZs in Attracting Impactful Investments & Redefining Competitiveness.”

This year’s edition will be hosted by Kenya Special Economic Zones Authority (SEZA) and the Ministry of Trade, Investments and Industry and will gather more than 400 participants to follow the deliberations and interact with eminent experts and C-level representatives from Special Economic Zones and Investment Promotion Agencies.

The African Union Commission (AUC)’s Department of Economic Development, Trade, Tourism, Industry and Minerals and Africa Economic Zones Organization (AEZO) are joining efforts to organize the African Special Economic Zones Annual Meeting 2023 scheduled to take place on November 23 – 24, 2023 in Tangier, Morocco, under the theme:
« Fostering Sustainable Industrialization and Economic Diversification: A Roadmap for African Special Economic Zones ».

This year’s edition will be hosted by Tanger Med Group and will gather more than 400 participants to follow the deliberations and interact with eminent experts and C-level representatives from Economic Zones and Investment Promotion Agencies.

The AEZO 7th Annual Meeting will be hosted by the Nigeria Exports Processing Zones Authority (NEPZA), Oil and Gas Free Zones Authority (OGFZA), Nigerian Economic Zones Association (NEZA), in partnership with the prominent partners such as AUC, UNCTAD, UNIDO, AfDB.

This year’s edition will be held in Abuja – Nigeria, under the theme “African Special Economic Zones: Engine for Resilience and Accelerator for Sustainable Industrial Value Chain Development”, from November 30th to December 2nd, 2022.

The event coincides with the 30th anniversary of Special Economic Zones Scheme in Nigeria and will gather prominent government officials, ministers, and heads of international organizations. This event will offer the opportunity to a thousand participants to follow the deliberations and interact with eminent experts and C-level representatives from Economic zones and Investment promotion agencies.
