INFORMATION AND BIOTECHNOLOGY VILLAGE (VITIB) FREE ZONE

The VITIB (Information Technology and Biotechnology Village) was exclusively established to technology companies. The zone offers a space of 624 ha, divided into 3 zones:

  • Initial zone (south of the motorway): 60 ha
  • Area under development (north of the motorway: 240 ha). Civil engineering works began in 2015. This area consists of a new, fenced, subcontracted city.
  • Reserve area: 324 ha.

This site is built and developed by the private company VITIB S.A, created by Ivorian and international partners. The company includes Ivorian and international shareholders (Ivorian state, Prestige Télécom, Petro CI, SOTRA, CI Télécom …). Created in 2006 (capital: 3 MMM FCFA). The company has a mission to manage the VITIB site’s layout, the infrastructure’s technical and technological construction, and promoting the free zone.

The site’s infrastructures are interconnected by optical fiber and WIFI with access to the Internet by VSAT and microwave links.
