GENERAL AUTHORITY FOR INVESTMENT AND FREE ZONES (GAFI)

General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI) is an investment promotion agency that supports domestic and international investors interested in the opportunities offered by Egypt. GAFI is responsible of promoting and managing free zones, monitoring investors, setting up new investment and free zone regimes.
GAFI currently manages nine free zones in Egypt:

  • Alexandria Public Free Zone (750 ha)
  • Nasr City Public Free Zone (71 ha)
  • Port Said Public Free Zone (73 ha)
  • Suez Public Free Zone (7.6 ha at Tewfik Port next to the Suez Port and 25 ha at 5 km from the Adabiya Port)
  • Ismailia Public Free Zone (33 ha)
  • Damietta Public Free Zone (80 ha)
  • The Free Zone of Keft (300 ha)
  • Media Public Free Zone (100 ha)
